He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Everett Paul Hartley; his grandparents, William and Ethel Coyle; his mother Betty Lee Coyle Thompson; his daughters, Shanna Sims of Valrico and Patricia Schwartz of South Point, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kaylyn Bone, Sara Totten, Garrett Totten, Brittnie Schwartz and Amber Schwartz; his great grandchildren, Malaki Combs and Salem Horn; his sister Sharon Hackworth (Donnie); and his child Diana Myers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington.
