He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Short and Mamie Fout Short. He is survived by: his children, Alison Pennington, Robert Short, Jr. (Rhonda) and Tyler Short; his sister Alice Harmon; and his close friend Jewell Otta. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
