He was predeceased by: his grandson Nicholas Whaley; his parents, Claude Whaley and Mae Whaley; and his brothers, Wilburn and Jay Whaley.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Debbie Johnson (Bob), Gary Whaley (Linda), Angie Griffin (Bill) and Timmy Whaley; his grandchildren, Chasity Larson (Brandon), Michael Whaley (Jamie), Misty Bell, Carrie Bell, Andrea Payton (Jeremy), Emily Stanfield (Steven), Denelle, Kenny Whaley (Ali), Kaylee Daum, Michael Johnson (Kat) and Tanner Johnson; and his brother Dee Whaley. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
