He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Ables (Lovelady) and Roy Ables; his wife Gaynelle Ables (Potter); his children, Robert Randy Ables and Beverly Eichenauer; and his siblings, Elizabeth Newsome, Aileen Houston, Evelyn Venters, Emma Brown and Roy Ables, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Trish Simonton of Mason, OH and Jim Chris Ables (Lanae) of Blanchester, OH; his siblings, Norma Sparks of Xenia, Jack Ables (Marnell) of Jamestown and Billy Jo Ables (Margaret) of Columbus; and his son-in-law Dennis Eichenauer of Celina. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton or to the Disabled American Veterans.
