He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Charles Harris and Betty Jo Eakins; his brother Donnie; and his parents-in-law, Lina and Jim Schleinitz.
He is survived by: his former wife Linda Ruth Howard; his children, Chris, Christopher Harris (Vicky) of Verona Ohio, Richard Harris (Wendy) of Xenia, Leah Cooper (Scott Hengert) of Granger and Sarah Leech (Benny) of Dayton, Ohio.; his wife Gail Harris; his grandson Walker Harris; and his brother-in-law Duane Schleinitz (Anita).
The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Jude, where the important work of cancer research can continue.
