He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Frederick J. Rieck and Joyce Wilkens. He is survived by: his adoptive father Edward Wilkens; his sister Julianna Wilkens; his grandmother Barbara Rieck; his grandchildren, Edward Wilkens, Sr., Meme and Faith Geruldsen; and his aunts and uncles, Scott (Margarita DeClemente), Debra McIndoe, Tami (John Breen), Christopher (Connie Palmer) and Maryann (Victor Baykal). He is also survived by many cousins, extended family, and friends.
