He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Monds and Dinah Monds. He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Monds; his sisters, Debbie Monds and Patricia Skidenanko; his nephew Benjamin Burns; and also Jim Racket.

John was a 1984 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of the NRA and Wildlife Foundation and a former member of the Lebanon Eagles Lodge #1395.
