He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mieko Julie Chihaya; his children, Tyson Chihaya (Camila Cavalcante) and Sarah Chihaya; his grandson Francisco Cavalcante-Chihaya; and his siblings, Masahiro and Masayoshi Chihaya.
