She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Nelson and Nina Simmons (Stahl); her stepmother Pearl Simmons; her brother Nelson Simmons; and her nephew Mark Simmons.

She is survived by : her husband Donald C. Goebel; her children, Michael, Nancy Goebel of Stryker, Diane and Stephen Dodaro of Blacklick, Ohio.; her grandchildren, James Dodaro, Melissa Melgarez, Nathan Goebel and Kenneth Goebel; her stepbrothers, Chuck and David Bailey; and her sister-in-law Ila Simmons.
