It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Joe Abernathy (Sullivan, Ohio), born in Pulaski, Tennessee, who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee Roy and Lou Verdun Abernathy (Smith); his grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler and Dillon; his great grandchildren, Daniela and Braylan; his sisters, Patricia Luzader and Lynnette Teeples; and his pets, Patches and Susie.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Abernathy (Cassese); his children, Donna Kitchen (Dennis), Rebecca Gardner (Dave), Tina Kenny (John), John Abernathy (Becky) and Larry Abernathy Jr.; his pets, Teddy, Izzy and Pepe; his siblings, Gary Abernathy (Angela), Vicki Williams and Angela Fruethworth; and his brother-in-law Larry Luzader. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
