He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Stinson and Helen Stinson (Monaghan); his brother Ronald Stinson; his brother-in-law James Dickman; and his sibling's children, Matthew Raker and Janet Stinson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Raker; his children, Wendy Stinson of Delta, OH and Barry Stinson (Lori) of Swanton; his grandchildren, Jordan Stinson (Jessica), Kaitlyn Shaller (Travis), Jake Stinson (Tayler) and Hannah Stinson; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Jaxon and Kendell; his siblings, Bobby Stinson (Sandy) and Shirley Mastin (Randy); and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Stinson and Roger Raker (Grace). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swanton American Legion.
