It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Frederick Cleavenger Jr. of Tallmadge, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth "Betty" James and James Cleavenger Sr. James; his daughter Jessica Gumpl; and his sister Sharlene (Cleavenger). He is survived by : his children, Kelly Manzo (Frank), Denise Cleavenger (Don), Jamie Hamrick (Keith), Brooke Baxter (Greg), James Cleavenger III and Falishia Cleavenger; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Aiden, Jacob, Owen, Adalynn, Averie, Gavin, Kolton and Alanna.

Shook and I ran around with sister Sharlene during high school years and thought he was the "coolest" My first crush was him and his ironed shirts and the brown coupe. He would let me wash that coupe with him sometimes, and I was so thrilled! He introduced my first husband to me. It was such a joy to run into him over through the years, lots of good memories.
