He is survived by: his parent Cynthia Hill Lanning; his children, Dusty Lanning (Linda) of Dayton, Kevin Lanning (Becky) of Macon, Cheryle Mullins (Dudley) of Parkersburg, Irene Collins of The Plains and Lyn Richard (Paul) of Athens; his brother Joe Lanning (Ruth) of The Plains; his sister-in-law Mary Prince of Eureka; and his siblings, Walter Lanning, Fred Lanning, Willard Lanning, Garnet Mullins, Margaret Baird and Ruth Mary Lanning. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
