He was predeceased by: his parents, Rumaldo Muñoz and Lucy Muñoz (Rosalez); his siblings, Eristeo Muñoz, Javier Muñoz and Diana Ramirez; his sister-in-law Minerva Muñoz; and his siblings' children, Israel Ramirez and Irma Randolph.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Muñoz; his children, Angela Muñoz, Alvaro R. Muñoz, Jr. and Aileen Muñoz (Andrew Rometski); his grandchildren, Gianna and Emilianna; his mother-in-law Renate Rodriguez; his siblings, Dalia Espinoza (Israel) and Amadeo Muñoz, Sr. (Debbie Lizcano); and his sisters-in-law, Patty Muñoz and Karen Muñoz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
