He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Taylor and E. C. Taylor; and his siblings, Betty Conner, Ernestine Wiggins, Charles, Larry Taylor and Ronald Mosely.
He is survived by: his brothers, Sammie, Ernest, Pierre Taylor (Alethea) and Edgar Mosely; his children, Alvin Taylor Jr. (Chip), Aric Taylor, Lisa Taylor and Tina Ashley; his aunts, Betty Adams and Jimmie Lee Penamon; and his nephew Darrell Taylor (Marlene). He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
