He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Essex and Joseph Essex; his wife Donna Keefe; and his siblings, Rose Rombach, Elizabeth, Josephine Essex, John, James, Joseph and Michael Essex.
He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Samenuk (Paul), Laura Gallaher (Christopher) and Jill Gonzales (David); his grandchildren, Paul (Beth), Nicholas (Taylor), Peter Samenuk (Brae), Seth (Mariam) and Paige Gallaher; his great grandchildren, Paul Michael, Evelyn Samenuk and Inaaya Gallaher; and his sisters, Mary, Sharon Essex and Julia Bagley. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Those attending visitation and Mass are asked to wear a facial covering and respect social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
