He is survived by his children and their spouses, Gerald (Candace), Ronald (Beth), Chad (Barbara) Seizert, Donna (Keith) Henson; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Dean's honor may be made to The University of Toledo Foundation – College of Engineering.
