With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Strickland (Toledo, Ohio), who passed away on July 17, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Shorter and Richard Shorter; her siblings, Frazier Ross, Richard Shorter, James Shorter, Donald Shorter, Lucy Alexander and Nora McCarley; and her former husband William Strickland.

She is survived by: her son Lawrence "Larry" Strickland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
