He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Volkers and Carrol Volkers (Repass); and his father-in-law Richard Hartford. He is survived by: his children, Angela Bovee (Ryan), Jason Volkers and Gary Allan Volkers Jr.; his former wife Penny Hartford; his stepson Bradley Rodriguez; his siblings, Linda Sue Vess, Gregory L. Volkers and Mary M. Kusz; and his pets, Bailey and Tysin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Gary's family asks that you treat a stranger to a random act of kindness.
