James Schonter Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Schonter Sr. of Toledo, Ohio, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Frederick (Tom) and June Violet Schonter (Whiteman); his brother Melvin Schonter; his parents-in-law, Floyd Kitzmiller and Ann Kitzmiller (Sniadecki); and his brother-in-law James Kitzmiller.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret M. Kitzmiller; his sons, Jimbo, Aaron Leszkai (Mary Jo) and James Schonter, Jr. (Angie); his grandchildren, Mallory (Alex), Bryce, Conner, Brennan and Emmy; his great grandchild Braxton; his siblings, Fran Oliver, Paula Sanner (Thomas), Gina Glover and Jack Schonter (Sue); and his siblings-in-law, Liz Young (Bob), Sue Faunt (Mark), Marcie Kitzmiller, Terry Kitzmiller, Pat Kitzmiller, Tim Kitzmiller (Debbie) and Steve Kitzmiller (Lori). He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His family will be receiving friends for limited visitation (masks must be worn, 30 guests in the funeral home at a time, and social distancing will be observed inside facilities; please limit visiting to 10 min. or less so others may come in to pay their respects) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday February 7th after 1PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4 PM.
