She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Brainard and Laura Brainard (Parker); her husband Earl Van Dorp; her daughter Pamela Van Dorp; her stepgrandson Ralph "Scooter" Jacquay; and her siblings, Rose, Don, Laura, Carol and Ronnie.
She is survived by: her former husband Ralph P McCluskey; her children, Jeffrey Van Dorp (Debra), Chris Smith (Mark) and Jennifer Bentley (Herschel); her stepdaughters, Kathlen Martin (Bruce) and Judy Hartranft (Mike); her grandchildren, Joseph, Sharon (Sean), Elizabeth, Jacob, Elissa (Adam), Danielle (Jordan), Bradford (Megan), Samantha, Herschel "Nick" (Sheena) and Kathryn; her stepgrandchildren, McKellar (Jorge), Blake (Josh), Anna (Ryan) and Chip; and her siblings, Joe Brainard, Thelma Hoffman and Ed Brainard (Jackie). She is also survived by her 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Mercy Burn Unit in memory of Pam Van Dorp or Ohio Living Hospice in Joan's memory.
