He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Willis J. Kirkbride II and Helen Kirkbride (Reighner); and his brother Willis Kirkbride III (Rose). He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Fahringer; his daughters, Wendy Rusie (Keith), Sarah Hurley (Scott) and Susan Kirkbride; his grandchildren, Zora, Emerson, Grant and Evan; and his brother James Kirkbride.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 800 S. Detroit Ave Toledo, Ohio 43609.
