He was predeceased by: his cousin Wesley Schertzer; and also Karen. He is survived by: his parents, John Dooley and Nancy Dooley; and his siblings, Sean (Melissa) and Meghan Stechschulte (Ted). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Toledo Area Humane Society.
