He is survived by: his wife Emily Cantu; his siblings, Joe, Jose Duran (late Josefina), Sesario, Lucy Duran, Ysidro, Vina Duran, Petra and Reyes Montes; his children, Sylvester Jr. Duran (Margarita De Leon), Robert Duran (Sue Dianda), Bonnie McHugh (James) and Felicia Duran; his grandchildren, Steve Longoria, Jr., Marcus, Deanna McHugh, Celina, Feliciana Duran, Devyn DeLuca (Jeno), Briana Urbina (Santos), Alexis Duran, Ricky, Ian May (Allison Sarabia), Danielle Duran, Silvestre R. (Lianne King), Jose and Elisa Duran; his great grandchildren, Aria, London Longoria, Aliyah, Robert Rosas, Canaan Francisco, Maddux, Micah, Kyzer, Sire Duran-Dickerson, Ivaya, Jeno Jr. Ilyah, Videlle DeLuca, Mianna, Santos, Jr., Urbina, Melodia Luz May, Lilly, Mathew, Anahlycia, Sofea, Emilio Flores, Lionel, Sebastián Duran and Théo CainLopez; and also, Mary Garcia, Kim Duran and Barb Cruz.
Silvestre Durán, Sr., 90, Northwest Ohio Latino radio program icon and long-time Latino community advocate, of Toledo, Ohio died of Covid 19 on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
