It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Cameron (Dayton, Ohio), who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Cameron Sr. and Fannie Mae Underwood; his grandparents, Lovell and Evie Cameron; his great-aunts, Catherine Strait and Bessie Bizzell; his aunts and uncles, Reverend Ivory Cameron, Marie Cameron, Jack Bizzell, Reola Bizzell and Bessie Bizzell; and his siblings, William Underwood, Randy Cameron and Savilla Cameron.
He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Sutton Cameron; his children, Darnell J. Cameron, Sr. (Ann), Dumont L. Cameron and Cynthia Cameron; his grandchildren, Denisha, Sh'ron, Sharnell, Shanique, Darnell Jr., Ariannah, Bakwan, James, Jaleesa, Jaliyah, De'Anthony, Dumont Jr. and Jermaine; his siblings, Lee Arthur Cameron, Curtis Cameron (Marilyn), Billy R. Cameron, Johnny R. Cameron, Lucinda Mosely, Brenda Cameron, Norma Cameron-McCollough and Debra C. McGhee; his aunt Bernice Carey; his uncles, Earnest Bizzell and James Bizzell; and his great-aunt Georgia Burton. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
