She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Palmer and Mable Palmer; her husband Melvin Hayes, Sr.; her daughter Sue; her brothers, Bob, Bill, Dennis (Jim) and Donald; and her grandson Jeremy.
She is survived by : her sons, Melvin Hayes, Jr. (Michelle), Steve Hayes (Joyce), Doug Hayes, Ronald Hayes (Anna) and Gary Hayes. She is also survived by Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Doris's honor to St. Jude's and/or Make-a-Wish Foundation.
