She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Marie (Swartzbaugh) and Harry B. Tilton; her husband Carl B. Adkins; her son Gale; and her brothers, Joseph and Harry Tilton.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Janet Adkins of Xenia, OH; her children, David Adkins (Janie) of Mt. Sterling, OH and Diane Speakman (Rick) of Urbana, OH; her sister Phyllis Pelfrey of Middletown, OH; her sister-in-law Nelda Adkins of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Brian Adkins (Kelly), Kristin McNeely (Mark), Christopher Adkins (Jamie), Jennifer Stinner (Jed), Lindsay Barnes (Perry), Stephanie Conover (Bryan), Stacy Speakman and Robert Speakman (Richelle). She is also survived by great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McColaugh Funeral Home (826 N Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
