He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Bloedel and Kathleen Bloedel (Lewis); his siblings, John Perry, Lynne Kline and Kathie Christian; and his brothers-in-law, Bud Christian and Tim Rife.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Lee Bloedel (Carboneau); his children, Dianna Wayne (Eric), Dave Bloedel (Jill) and Toi Oyer (Chris); his grandchildren, Alec Wayne, Madalyn Wayne, Olivia Wayne, Luke Bloedel, Jocelyn Bloedel and Chance Oyer; his siblings, Jeanne Rife (Pete) and Jeff Perry; his brother-in-law David Carboneau (Joan); and his pet Tucker.
The family welcomes donations to The First Presbyterian Church or the Fayette County Food Pantry as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
