He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Onweller and Myrtle Onweller (Falor); his siblings, Corwin, Ivan, Loren Onweller and Mary Belle Whitcomb; his grandson-in-law Mark Opdahl; and his great grandchild Isiah James Onweller.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Stewart (James) of Wauseon, Lawrence Onweller (Leisa) of Delta and Carol Moser (Jerry) of Defiance; his grandchildren, Brandon Stewart (Colleen), Kyle Stewart (Angela), Troy Stewart (Cassie), Aaron Stewart (Brittany), Jolie Opdahl, Scott Onweller (Amy), Shannon Leu (Justin), Jonathon Moser (Whitney), Adam Moser and Jacob Moser; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Leu (Ryan), Zac Stewart, Emalee LeJune (TJ), Krew, Hailey, Hayden, Hunter, Aubree, A. J., Ava Stewart, Alexis Opdahl, Isla, Everly, Lewis, Rosie Onweller, Jackson, Greyson, Lawson Leu, Levi, Everett, Sullivan and Carver Moser.
