He was predeceased by : his parents, Cleon Brown and Lucille Brown (Kaiser); his former life partner Beverly R. Warnick (Swander); his sister Madonna Scott; and his brother-in-law Jack Chaney.

He is survived by : his children, Jeff Brown (Marcy) of Celina and Jorja Steiner (Russell) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Justyn Ruble (Tony), Josh Desmond, Jason Desmond, Courtney Oltman (Jonathan) and Megan King; his wife Lois Weitzel (August) of Coldwater; his stepchildren, Sue Wendel (Ralph), Diane Henderson, Steve Weitzel and Randy Weitzel; his siblings, Vivian Chaney and Tom Brown; and his brother-in-law Glenn Scott. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
