She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Epson and Mildred Lucille Chapman; her former life partner Arthur Blake McKown; and her brothers, Ira Lee and Leroy Junior Chapman.
She is survived by : her brothers-in-law, Forrest Gene and Travis "Hib" McKown; her husband David G. Charles; her brothers, Darius Chapman (Beverly) of Stockport, OH and Virgil Chapman (Emily) of Bellevue, OH.; her children, Jeff McKown (Lisa) of Waynesburg and Kelly Liebler (Geoff) of Massillon; her stepchildren, Kelli Henning (Brandon) of Charlottesville, VA and Kyle Charles (Malora) of Leesburg, VA.; and her grandchildren, Taylor Rothel (Matt), Rayelle Paulson (Mike) and Emma Clay (Fred).
