He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Bales and Cleo Ebling Bales; and his siblings, Jimmie Bales, Jack Bales, Gene Bales and Dorothy June Edwards.
He is survived by: his spouse Dalene Anspaugh; his children, Jeffery Bales of Waynesfield, Craig Bales (Anna) of Wapakoneta, Bruce Bales (Cindy) of Baltimore, Ohio, Rob Bales (Kim) of Millers Port, Ohio and Kristen Brooks (Gene) of Lewis Center, Ohio; his great grandchild Fred; and his sister Shirley Hager (Sam) of Lima. He is also survived by 4 grandsons, a granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Research.
