It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bessie Prater of West Lafayette, Ohio, born in Coshocton, Ohio, who passed away on July 21, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merril Wiggins and Ethel Wiggins (Richardson); her husband Luther H. Prater; her brothers, Ed, Ralph, Loy, Raymond and Howard Wiggins; and her son-in-law Melvin May.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry May of West Lafayette and Paul Prater of West Lafayette; her grandchildren, Troy Luke (Sheri), Larry Luke (Reneé), Mollie Hahn (Brian) and Jason Prater (Maria); and her stepgrandchildren, David May (Jayne), Steve May, Kelly Duvall (Jeff) and Duane May. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and six great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be direct towards the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette and/or the Coshocton Veterans Council; envelopes will be available at the church.
