He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Raymond and Meda Elizabeth Knotts; and his sister Beverly Jean Ropp. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Lee Knotts of Raleigh, Kyp Michael Knotts (Dawn) of Tifton and Bethany Kay Michael of Tifton, Georgia; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Michael, Justin Michael Knotts (Lauren), Aubrey Lee Michael IV, Jordan Alexandria Knotts and John Ashton Michael; and his siblings, Shirley Foster of Urbana, Judy Mason of Urbana, Alice Johnson (Phil) of West Liberty, Ted Knotts (Vicki) of Kingscreek, Gerald Knotts (Connie) of West Liberty, Tammy Ormsbee of St. Paris and Tim Knotts (Angie) of Urbana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
