He is survived by: his wife Thelma Jane Rayburn Hyer; his children, Pamela Robertson (David), Tammy Kay Crowley (James), James "Jim" Matson (Jennifer), Jeffrey Hyer, Rhonda Hyer, Timmy Hyer and Ricky Hyer; his grandchildren, Travis Robertson (Stacie), Tara Davis (Tim), Tyler Robertson (Jenn), Joe Matson (Tanica), Carl Matson (Molly), Jason Matson (Amanda), Christopher Matson (Tiffany), Cody Matson (Ricky), Cayleigh Matson (Jordan), Halyn Matson, Shannon Plotner (Terry), Tiffany Hyer, Michael Hyer, Shanna Hyer, Brandon Hyer, Tracey Hyer and Ricky Hyer; his brothers, Vernon Hyer (Sharon) of Xenia and Danny Hyer (Terri) of Bowersville, Ohio; and his close friend Jim Haffly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
