He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Henkel and Helen Henkel. He is survived by: his wife Irene M. Henkel (Rotter); his children, Todd Henkel (Lisa) and Shannon Henkel (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Anastasia, Aleigha, Marissa, Luke, Connor and Alec.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Lake County Council on Aging would be appreciated.
