She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ruggles and Olga Ruggles (Cole); her husband Roger J. Smith; and her daughter Janice Dean. She is survived by: her children, Dean Smith (Jane), Ron Smith (Debbie), Clifford Smith (Susan), Eileen Squires (Keith), Marilyn Wood (Dave) and Sharon Bishop (Frank). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central of Ohio or the Youth Program at First United Methodist Church.
