He is survived by: his wife Brenda Johnson; his children, David Coovert Jr. of Willard, Joel Coovert (Tracy) of Stow, Kim Knick of Willard and Jessica Rimmer (Jonathan) of Kernersville; and his brother Darryl Coovert. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
