He is survived by: his children, Scott Dye (Amy), Laura Jean Dye and James Dye (Tracy); his siblings, Marlene Sword, Judy Guffy, Jackie Merle Bollinger (Randy), Lawrence Dye (Kaye), James Dye, John Dye, Gregory Dye (Esther) and Rodney Dye (Glenda); and his grandchildren, Luis, Elisha, Brandon, Destiny, Katie, Savanah, Braden, Kyle and Malory. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
