He was predeceased by: his parents, William Marvin and Alice Wilburta Phillips (Tener); and his former wife Judy K. Phillips. He is survived by: his spouse Belly A. Almelor; his children, James K. Phillips (Elisa Marie) of Canton, Melinda Hendrix (Matthew) of Wooster, Catherine Blawut (Michael) of Hopedale and Geraldine Gelacinao (Roger); and his stepchildren, Rolendo "Rolly" Almelor (Serah), Mellorie Tebut and Clifford Leavitt (Ellen). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice Life Care, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
