He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard F. Nichols and Eileen Levers Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Toni Lee Robison; his children, Joshua Nichols of North Carolina, John Nichols (Tasha) of Georgia and Jeanette Nichols of Florida; and his brother David Nichols of North Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
