He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Nooks and Georgia Nooks (Grimes); his son Richard M. Nooks; and his siblings, Derewood Nooks, Dorothy Lacour and Willa Mae Browder.
He is survived by: his wife Ada Louise Nooks (Bowen); his children, Rita Caldwell of Xenia and Marvin Nooks of Xenia; his grandchildren, Regina Morton, Kelly Muhammad and Janun Vincent Nooks; his great grandchildren, Dante Wilkerson, Trinity Morton, Kalil Muhammad and Kaya Muhammad; and his significant other Fred Meadows. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
