Dorothy Decapita Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Decapita (Youngstown, Ohio), who passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Mayfield and Leta Mayfield (Hurst); her husband Sylvio R. "Chico" DeCapita; and her siblings-in-law, Leo Maloney and Lydia Evans.
She is survived by : her sons, Robert DeCapita (Brenda) of Akron, James DeCapita (Joy) of Boardman, Joseph DeCapita (Theresa) of Boardman and Richard DeCapita (Dawn) of Austintown; her grandchildren, Ian, Ciera, Shayla, Joseph (Kara), Brittany, Dominic DeCapita, William Sr. Woolfrom (Megan), Taylor and Matthew DeCapita; her great grandchild William Woolfrom Jr.; and her siblings, Janice Reese, Sally Maloney and William (Arlene). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is holding a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Church. The DeCapita family wishes to express appreciation to all that are offering condolences at this time but have elected to have private services due to the continued outbreak of the Coronavirus to make sure their family and friends are safe and healthy.
