It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Ann Nichols of Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ernest and Edith A. Mattingly (Cline); her husband William "Don" Donald Nichols; her daughter Karen Nichols; her sister Clara Jane Mattingly; and her son-in-law Gary Wilson.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Nichols (Cathy) of Dresden, Mark Nichols (Mitzi) of Dresden, Lisa Anders (Tony) of Zanesville and Marsha Nichols of Nashport; her grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Megan, Amanda, Teddy, Kimberly and Abby; her great grandchildren, Kylee, Ali, Colt, Cayden, Aaron, Brynleigh, Josephine, Hadlie, Wyatt, Lily, Aaden, Everly, Raelynn, Riley, Ryder and Ansley; her brother Charles E. Mattingly; and her sibling's children, Sherrie Grubb (Keith) and Sam Sheets (Luann).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (714 Main St, Dresden, OH 43821). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (405 Chestnut St, Dresden, OH 43821). A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Dresden Cemetery (1213 Main St, Dresden, OH 43821).
