He is survived by: his children, Christopher Pitts, Eric Pitts-Shimer and Amy Shimer; his siblings, Dennis Pitts, Harold Pitts, Joe Poppinger, Wesley Pitrman, Patty Poppinger, Barb Poppinger, Nancy Shumate and Priscilla Bell; his grandchildren, Kristiana Pitts and Bentlee Croy; and his close friend Barbara Pitts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
