He is survived by : his wife Kristy; his sons, Robert McLain of Joplin, George McLain II of Adair, CJ McLain of Adair and Caleb Mikinnis of Joplin; his stepson Danny Rowe of Catoosa, Oklahoma; his daughters, Ivy McLain of Adair and Ruby Degood of Carthage; his stepdaughter Sandra Rowe of Catoosa, Oklahoma; his siblings, Juan Talavera of Adair, Oklahoma, Margaret Talavera of Adair, Marilyn Moore of Carterville, Mary Vangaulder of Decatur and Susanna Broadston of Decatur, Arkansas; and his grandchild Dallys McLain.
