He was predeceased by : his parents, William Marshal Ecker and Ruby Faye Ecker; his sisters, Sharon and Jackie Ecker; and his brothers-in-law, Teddy Wilson and Joe Seebach.

He is survived by : his close friend Brenda Sanders of Afton, Oklahoma; his daughters, Cheryl Ecker of Owasso and Malisa Bender (Nathan); his granddaughters, Carleigh King, Madelyn Bender and Morgan Bender; his stepson Sean Allison (Sherry Allison) of Frisco; his stepgrandchildren, Justin Allison of Frisco, Texas, Cheyenne Shelnutt (Griffin Shelnutt) and Levi Allison of Frisco, Texas; his stepdaughter Kari Allison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his siblings, Marsha Scott (John Scott) of San Antonio, Jerry Ecker (Silvia) of Lawton and Geneva Wiatrek (Paul) of San Antonio; and also Blakely Shelnutt of Frisco.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Ronnie Ecker's memory to the American Cancer Society Free Ride Program.
