He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyndall Rae Byrd and Avis Bradshaw Byrd. He is survived by: his son Dr. Scott Byrd (Patricia Long) of Waldoboro, Maine.; his sisters, Madelon Byrd Croskell of Ardmore and Lynda Byrd Sharrett of Williamsburg, Virginia; his nieces, Amanda and Mel Amodo; and his great-nieces, Bailey Byrd Amodo, Jessica, Rich Coleman and Kylee Briscoe Coleman.
