He was predeceased by: his sisters, Marlene Hamilton and Lorene Poe; and his grandson Nicholas Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Sanchez Hernandez of Sulphur, Crystal Carpenter of Wanette, Michael Carpenter of Ada and Jason Carpenter of Wanette; and his siblings, Thurman Carpenter, Hagen Alberson, Nelson, Arnetta Miller, Margie Johnson and Rachel Hollow-Horn. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
