He was predeceased by: his parent Hattie Bell; his sisters-in-law, Wanda Mays, Brenda Mays, Bobbie Mays and Rachel Mays; and his siblings, Junior Mays, Kenneth Mays, Odis Mays, Arthur Mays, Dean Mays, Doug Mays, Darrell Mays, Tommy Mays, Donnie Mays, Roger Mays, Mary Sue Barnes and Muriel Jean Mays.
He is survived by: his parent Earnest Mays; his wife Rhonda; his daughter Amanda Herell (Joka Fowler) of Mannsville; his siblings, Lonnie Dale Mays of Ardmore and Nelda Ann Rich of Ringling; his grandchildren, Jaxel Dean Herell of Mannsville and Jillian Mae Rogers of Mannsville; his brother-in-law Richard Higgins (Elaine) of Kingston; and his close friends, Jack White, David Roberts, Allen Price, Billy McGlocklin and Ray Jeffcoats. He is also survived by numerous sister-in-laws, other relatives and friends.
